The next fashion walk is scheduled for August 3rd - plan to be there!
Kara Bazma FashionWalk was held again on July 6th and was attended by an enthusiastic crowd of 60 guests. Fashions from four Jacksonville fashion designers were modeled by two models. Each designer presented two pieces and then spoke briefly to the guests about their approach and concepts. The designers at this month’s event were: Embodiment by Patrice, Le'Bonne', Jus Cabral, and B.Classique. All design and fabrication for these pieces is performed in Jacksonville.
For sure “what starts in Jacksonville will not stay in Jacksonville
” the work was unique, interesting and provoking – as always this was the first time any of the pieces had been shown publically!
In addition to the pieces from each designer a new project to support younger girls was introduced called the Princess project – to support attractive clothing design for young, under privileged girls. The fashions were modeled elegantly by the owner of Kara Bazma’s daughters.
The stage makeup was designed and applied by Neekoe.
The audience was entertained and lead through the evening by MC Javan who presented each of the fashions and interviewed the designers – his enthusiasm is contagious and always fun!
A presentation on wardrobe color combinations and seasonal impact as well as on the styling of designs was presented by xxx. PRP Wine Importers also presented their selection of fine wines and held a tasting for guests over 21.
