Please help me out by posting information about this site on your FB page and send it to friends in the race - it is for a good cause.

There are a whole lot of images that are going into this gallery. The will be sorted by the time taken so if somehow you know when you went by my spot you are all set - since you probably do not then have a good look!

These images are from the 26.2 Run with Donna Marathon run on Sunday 02 12 2012 and were taken at the 12 mile mark or about 1/2 of the way on the full marathon circuit.

I have been shooting for the 26.2 organization for about a year now and have really enjoyed myself - this shoot was my favorite so far because it seemed more intimate to me somehow - maybe it is seeing people again and watching their faces as they run towards me. Maybe it is that more people were waving and interacting with me - I am not sure. Whatever it is I like it and hope to continue to see you all at events and to work with Donna and Amanda and the entire crew!

What I am sure of however was it was NOT because it was so warm and comfortable out - I was layered in 3 sets of shirts with a jacket over them - and many of you folks were running in shorts!

Next year we need to insist that they chose a day that will be warm - if we can finish cancer that should be possible!

So enjoy the images - you are welcome to download them from this site - they are provided at no charge - you do have to work a process to get them however and it is a bit clunky - essentially you purchase them and go through the BUY process but I sell them to you at $0.00 so in the end there is no cost - we never collect any money from you.

There is a help file at the top of this page that may make things easier - or not. If you totally are stuck you can send me a note through the contact me feature on this site and let me know how I can help you. I will help.

If you chose to purchase a print from the site you will be charged for this. The prices are clearly marked - once the image is selected you will see a price list and all proceeds go to the 26.2 Marathon - I am not doing this to make money. I promise.

You are welcome to use the images for your personal use - please leave my logo on them. If you do post them please Tag me - Michael Straley. It is right and fair for you to do this.

If you need help cropping an image or if you think they are to light or too dark, etc - send me a note and let me know what you would like to happen - if it is important to you it is important to me - I will do the work for you - usually for free and return the image with my logo on it. OK? There are some really nice and lovely images that you allowed me to take.

If you need an image for commercial use or for a large print it would be a good idea to contact me and provide the file name - prints greater than 8x10 really should have a larger file size for best quality. So I will help you with that.

I do make money by shooting and I shoot primarily Beauty, Fashion and Glamour - for personal and corporate use. If you need something contact me directly.

PS a technical note - if some of the early morning images seem a bit fuzzy/soft in parts - they are. I was shooting at F2.8 because of the light and my camera was having trouble focusing because it was so cold. When you shoot at a wide aperature (like 2.8) everything outside the primary focus point falls off pretty quickly - if you close it down then the runners' movement creates motion blur because the shutter cannot operate fast enough in the light available.

If I missed you running I am sincerely sorry and appologize.

]]>Tricia B with wardrobe and accessories provided by Art Fabrik of Grenada. This shoot was held at Heritage House at Mt Parnasus at a government facility called PAM used to allow young women who are pregnant to finish their schooling.

Our host Mrs. Lawrence is a wonderful woman and very supportive of our photography work there!

Tricia has some wonderful work up on Model Mayhem that she did while in Asia. Great to work with and she is a hard worker - most of these were shot in flats which made it critical that she hit and accentuate her curves correctly to get the fabrik drape and flow - there were a number of retakes and she held a good spirit and focus! A pleasure to work with!

]]>Suite Night Club - Chabri Fashion Charity Event

I was again fortunate to be able to shoot at the Suite Nightclub for one of Sterling’s birthday party charity events to support the United Way.

People came decked out in their best Hollywood Glam clothes and allowed me shoot them on the way in. It was great to see some of the people I've met at other events and to make new friends! Everyone is so friendly, open, and willing to allow me to take their picture.

The images in these galleries are available to you at NO CHARGE!

To download them simply select (click on) one or more images and then click on the “BUY” button just as you would do if you are ordering a print. You'll be given the opportunity to select a download or print - in this case select the option offering social media sized downloads. You will need to fill-in some information about your “order” this will then send you an email with the images you requested. Just follow the process – if you need help please just ask for it! These images will be provided to you at No Charge. Of course, you may certainly purchase a print image from the site as well if you so choose.

The fashion show really moved me. I love Jennifer Chabri’s designs. The colors, the materials, the drape, the flow, the textures - all are just spectacular! The models, makeup, and hairstylists did a great job of demonstrating that Hollywood Glam look as well as Jennifer's clothes. I have been to many shows where the clothes themselves were not so well presented – a good, good job was done here. To learn more about Chabri Fashion go here.

The people at Suite Nightclub just do a great job! The facility is very attractive, and well-managed. I ate at the bar before the show and the Lobster Linguini was great! They were super attentive to my needs as a photographer (I need power for my lighting, a clear path for the light to reach the models on the runway, security for my equipment, etc.) – they helped me at every step of the way.

]]>These two women were part of a fun filled day with Jim Brady - we were shooting in the studio against a cyc wall - no corners to complicate things. We had a lot of fun, the makeup by Maisoon Yoursef was great.

Everyone was on time, helpful and upbeat, lots of fun - I enjoyed the different personalities and the joy each exhibited during the day.

I am pleased with the images we made and hope to work with each of these women again.

Some Fancy Hats!

]]>I had a good time shooting some of the lids worn at the party - very spiffy aren't they?

I am interested in doing a project around fancy hats - if you believe you can help me put together a shoot with a number of people wearing fancy hats I would appreciate your getting in contact!

My initial thoughts are a church organization that would like to have some fun one week after the service - everyone could wear their fanciest hat and I would come and make images, maybe make a donation to church fund, provide individuals with prints a couple of weeks later.

Or how about a party where all the guests come in their fanciest hat? Something like that.

]]>Images of AshleeB in our second shoot together.

She is feeling a bit melancholy and lonely - some interesting emotions. AshleeB is a busy and focused individual – this time she came alone and worked hard to open up and let us see her moods and expressions.

Since last year she has become a pole dancer and was walking around on crazy high heels - maybe 9" heels - making them look like they were a good thing. She is 5'3" so with the heels becomes close to 6'. The heels really make her legs stretch - sorry can't show them but you get the picture I am sure!

Wardrobe by Holly Gordon, MUA Maisoon Yousef. Great job – thanks to all.

Nice display of wardrobe and as always Holly is wonderful and helpful. This was my first time with Maisoon who came highly recommended – I was really pleased with the work she did, her energy and helpfulness. I would recommend her to anyone and am working with her again this weekend!

Suite Night Club - Industry Vixen 2011 12 12

]]>I was able to grab some interesting images at Suite in the Town Center of the Christmas wardrobe designs from Candy Keane of Three Muses Clothing. I have been wanting to see and shoot her stuff for a while now. So I was thrilled to be there at the last moment.

Thank you Shahn for allowing me in and making such a great shooting position possible - I was at the direct end of the runway.

The club itself is very nice, high energy, well maintained and hopping on a Monday night. Great crowd and the people working there were great. The food I saw looked great too!

As I was expecting, the wardrobe itself was really fun, well designed and constructed and worn by young women who looked the part! A pleasure to see some old friends there and to meet several new ones!

I hope to be able to shoot at Suite again - maybe with some better lighting even - we will see how that goes!

Images are downloadable at no charge - - no tricks here I promise - here is how:
