Synovia is 5 months pregnant, the baby is healthy and kicking.She apparently does not like tacos either.
The moon is about to come up during the shoot and the tides are coming in, sometimes surging around Synovia's legs. There is a light breeze and she is telling me about all of her hopes and dreams for the new child she is bringing into the world!
The light is rapidly changes between each shot - you can see its progression in this series if you care about such things.
There is a reason why this is called the golden hour - the world continues to spin, life continues on, the surf pounds - but time moves a little slower, the world is a bit more gentle for a few minutes I think.
Photography the way I do it, is about working with people and the environment to reveal a bit of each to the world - sometimes it really works well when everything clicks.
I think we got that done - and learned a bit more about each other in the process.
