Quebec is quite the city - it is fun, attractive and feels safe and gentle.
The annual celebration of France and its relationship and history with Quebec is kicked off by a parade with lots of people - all seemingly enthralled with dressing up in old costuming and having a good time. What struck us was seeing the ease and grace that they seemed to exhibit - they were having a lot of fun - and paying attention to that!
The parade was followed by some wonderful fireworks down on the river.
The parade included a number of large plaster figures - all important poeple in Quebec's history. A lot of fun!
